So yesterday I was featured on Channel 7's Sunrise with two other awesome women, Sonia Lear from Happy Camper Pizza and Kylie Lewis from OfKin. It was a story about quitting your day job and taking a leap to follow your dreams. It speaks in many ways to why I started this blog 'I Am Not Superwoman' in the first place.
It's hard to believe that it has only been a year since I burnt out, left my job in South Africa, and moved back to Australia to try to create a more authentic and balanced life.
This year has made me realise that it is a fallacy that success only comes from struggle and sacrifice. We have to stop sometimes and ask ourselves what it is we truly want from life. Of course, with three kids and my own start-up organisation I'm still tired most of the time, but I feel like I'm going with the flow of life. And as a result, the growth and success of The Equality Institute feels effortless.
I really feel like I have gone from a breakdown to a breakthrough.
Do you have dreams of quitting your day job?
